This Privacy Policy explains how Equity Plus Finance (AUS) Pty Ltd (ABN 48 156 047 291) (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information when you use BookQuo (the “Service”). We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Information we collect
We collect:
- Account information — your name, business name, email address, phone number, business address and ABN.
- Customer records you enter — details you add about your own customers (names, contact details, addresses, quotes, bookings, invoices and notes). You are responsible for having a lawful basis to provide this information to us.
- Payment information — subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details; Stripe handles them under its own terms.
- Usage and technical data — log data, device/browser information and cookies needed to run the Service (e.g. authentication and language preference).
How we use your information
- To provide, operate and improve the Service;
- To send quotes, invoices, booking notices and reminders on your behalf to your customers;
- To process subscription payments and manage your account and free trial;
- To provide support and respond to your enquiries;
- To meet our legal and tax obligations.
Service providers we share data with
We use trusted third parties to run the Service. They only process data as needed to provide their function:
- Supabase & Vercel — application hosting and database (data stored in Australia, Sydney region);
- Stripe — subscription payments;
- Resend — sending email;
- ClickSend — sending SMS;
- Xero / MYOB — accounting sync, only if you connect them;
- Geoapify — address autocomplete;
- MiniMax — AI drafting of quote line items (only the text you enter is sent).
We do not sell your personal information.
Where your data is stored
Your data is primarily stored in Australia (Sydney). Some service providers listed above may process limited data overseas; where they do, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the APPs.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations (for example, tax records). You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls scoped to your account. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.
Your rights
Under the APPs you may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you, and request that we delete it. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time. You may also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe we have breached the APPs.
Cookies
We use essential cookies only — to keep you signed in and remember your language preference. We do not use advertising cookies.
Children
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed at children under 16.
